Lead paint exposure, boundary and clearance monitoring during removal works at a historic Defence facility.
BBN Consulting provided occupational hygiene monitoring during the removal of lead-based paint from buildings at Defence Establishment Marrangaroo, a WWII-era ammunition storage and distribution facility near Lithgow.
The scope included personal exposure monitoring for workers, boundary monitoring around regulated work zones, clearance monitoring and surface dust sampling. This confirmed worker exposure remained below regulatory limits, containment controls were effective and buildings could be safely returned to service.
