Hazardous materials surveys, airborne fibre monitoring and clearance certification for asbestos removal works within an operational Defence facility.

BBN Consulting supported building upgrade works at Simpson Barracks through hazardous materials surveys and airborne fibre monitoring during asbestos removal works.
The site contains buildings dating from the 1930s through to WWII era structures, many of which incorporated asbestos cement sheeting and other hazardous materials typical of military construction from that period. BBN’s work ensured removal activities were conducted safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements while allowing the Defence facility to remain operational.
